Suzanne Fleming is a longtime, active member of the Rotary Club of Youngstown, and much more. The Better Business Bureau of the Mahoning Valley presented Suzanne with its Torch Award for civic leadership in 2017. She was recognized for her roles with Leadership Mahoning Valley, the Northeast Ohio Regional Leadership Task Force and Mercy Health, as well as her service on the boards of the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority, Mahoning Valley Historical Society, Mercy Health Foundation and the Raymond John Wean Foundation, among others. A retired nurse, wife, mother and grandmother, Suzanne is fond of Rotary socials and many sports.

Who is in your family circle? Husband, Al (an attorney); daughter, Kyra, son, Al Jr.; 1 granddaughter and 5 grandsons.
                                                                                                        
Do you have any pets? None currently but looking to get another dog this spring.          
                                                                                                 
When you are not working, how do you like to spend your time? I enjoy tennis, pickle ball, paddle ball, golf, biking, hiking and water sports.

Which Rotary Project resonates with you and your understanding of our community's needs? I loved Put Kids First (mentoring program at Harding Elementary School).                                                                                                        
What does Rotary's motto "Service Above Self" mean to you? Placing others first.

What would you be doing on Wednesdays if you didn't attend the weekly luncheon meeting? Reading or playing some sport.             
                                                                                               
Which type of Rotary socials do you prefer - black tie affairs or casual attire? I love them both. I just like getting together and can't wait until we can socialize again!                                                                                                            
A Rotary tradition is to have sing-alongs during meetings.  Would you ever lead us in a song? I’d love to!
                                                                                                            
What do you think of Scott Schulick's Rotary pants, and would you wear a pair? I would prefer some Rotary shorts or a skirt, I think.         
                                                                                                   
What's a story of yours that you don't get to tell often enough? That I went to school with my husband from first grade at St. Edward through high school at Ursuline, but we were never in the same class.
