The 2017 Rotary International Convention will be located in Atlanta Ga. on Sat June 10 thru Weds June 13 

Rotary International will be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Rotary Foundation.

Thousands of our fellow Rotarians from through out the world will be traveling to Atlanta.

District 6650 has reserved a large block of rooms in the Hilton Garden Inn in Atlanta's Luckie Marietta District, located one block from the Georgia Aquarium, and a short walk from the Georgia Dome.

The hotel has given us a special rate of $250 per day plus taxes.

40 District 6650 Rotarians have already reserved rooms.

All that is required is a room deposit of $300 which will be refundable in full until May 1 2017

Rotarians interested in purchasing Christmas greenery for the Interact Club should return their orders to Carolyn Korenic at Ursuline High School by November 10th.  Greenery will be available for pick-up on December 1st at UHS.  Fundraising from this project will help to fulfill the Thanksgiving needs of Beatitude House, Saint Vincent de Paul and Emmanuel Community Care Center.  Any questions?  Call Carolyn at 330-744-4563.  Thank you for your support. - PS , the Mooney HS Interact Club meets on Mondays at 3:10 and all are welcome to attend.

Wine trip highlight photo: 

Joyce Mistovich joined us last week who is the  Education Director at the Butler Museum of American Art details programming at the Butler and explains how important Art Education is to a community like the Mahoning Valley. From 1974 to 2011, she was the art educator for the Boardman Schools seventh and eighth grades and worked on a number of school projects including the Boardman Schools Television Network, and was both a camp counselor and director for the Boardman Park Summer Recreation Program with a focus on the arts. Joyce is currently the president of the Boardman Park Commissioners, board president of the Boardman Schools Fund for Educational Excellence, active in the Junior League, the Youngstown Foundation and many other community organizations. As Director of Education, Joyce oversees the Butler’s educational programming that includes docent-led tours, free family days, a two week Summer Visual Arts Day Camp, and the Good Neighbors outreach program servicing 4th grade students in the Youngstown and Warren school districts.
Maud Arts, our Rotary Exchange Student will be our featured speaker and she will be filling us in on her life in Belgium, her family and what she's been up to since arriving in the United States.
